We’ll we’ve been doing a bit of filming lately around the local traps and thought we’d revisit Drew from twenty-11 filmed from similar locales. Enjoy.
During our little Hawaiian getaway we decided it would be a good idea to muck around with a little film body we had found. Somewhat a throwback to the true form of photography we thought. Well amongst the instantaneous gratification of the digital age we had forgotten about the tiny black rolls sitting in the bottom of our bags all until recently. Enjoy.

Whether you’re a believer in a higher denomination or not, you cannot dispute Easter for delivering. It’s almost uncanny that in recent memory the past few Easter’s have turned on the pump nation-wide and dished out some all-time conditions. Here’s just a small sample of what went down from the Sunny C to North NSW.

Round 2 and 3 saw some amazing surfing go down with competitors unleashing on the Box end-bowl. But don’t take out word for it, check the highlights package courtesy of www.IBAWORLDTOUR.com
Big ups to our boy Drew Innocend, taking out his round 1 heat and progressing straight through to round 3. Pitted against world number 2 Mike Stewart and 2010 World Champ Amaury Lavernhe Drew was the first rider of the day to bust a series of backflips in quick succession and coast the rest of the heat getting a solid tube to seal the deal. Stay tuned at www.IBAWORLDTOUR.com/LIVE for live coverage of the event. Check the highlight’s package below and stick around till the end for Manny’s best “BOOM” yet!
We’ll start by saying that this is not an attack on Kelly. After decades of rivalry between surfers and bodyboarders the IBA no longer needs to entertain the idea of having one of the world’s best surfers compete in our very own esteemed circuit. That was done with Jamie O’Brien in the 2009 Pipeline Comp. Jamie was very vocal about his despise of bodyboarding and one thing came to another and he was given a wildcard to the event at the expense of a deserving local bodyboarder. And you know what… he sucked. We’re sure even extremely talented surfer’s such a JOB will have to admit that they are two very different forms of wave riding. Aside from that, it may very well do more damage than good turning our tour into a farce of the surfing fraternity. So this is a plead to the IBA World Tour, just don’t do it. Leave this spot for the local talent.

Heartbreaking stuff for our brethren at Inverted Bodyboarding Sunny Coast having been inundated with monumental rainfall and subsequent flooding. Not only that, Inverted Gold Coast was sadly subject to three break and enters in recent weeks. This is a heavy blow to two of the stores at the forefront of supporting our sport. So pop in to these stores and show your support to those who live to give it back.

Thought we’d leak this special piece for Winter, The Summerset Varsity. With a Melton Wool Body, Leather pocket trim, pressed metal buttons (not seen here) and silky innards this bad ass Jacket is guaranteed to keep you toasty through the winter months. We hope you enjoy this one.
We’d like to introduce 2 new members to our growing cap range, The SS and the Trouble Makers snapbacks. Both caps are, once more, of the highest quality featuring 3d embroidery and official trimmings. Along with a re-release of the Dead Sleds and Unsinkable caps these will be found at www.bodboardshop.com, www.slicksanddecks.com, www.bodyboarders.com.au, www.bodyboardmart.com, Inverted Bodyboard Stores, Bodyboarders Surf Co, Emerald Surf City, Solid Bodyboard Store, Slicks and Decks and hopefully on our online store (should we manage to have remaining stock for ourselves). Do yourself a favour and check them out!
We were super psyched to see Chris White, creator of the hugely successful Tension series, Grow Up, Blow Up and now Throwdown flicks rocking the Summerset Dead Sleds snapback on the North Shore this season. Whitey has left a huge impact on the sport as a film maker, rider, funnyman and innovator and now store owner and get’s our respect, BIGTIME.
